Zoroastrianism:
Before Zoroastrianism the Devas were actually benevolent spirits, as they are in the theology of Hinduism. It was only after the introduction of Zoroastrianism that the theology was reversed and they became malevolent.

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day!

Episode is All Hell Breaks Loose II

Episode Trivia:
It is the second time the song Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas is used in the show. It was first used in "Salvation" (season 1 episode 21) over the opening sequence showing what previously happened during the first season. The song is used again in the opening sequence of this episode showing what previously happened during the first two seasons.
Dean said "We've got work to do" as he closed the trunk of the Impala. Sam said the same thing as he shut the Impala's trunk at the end of the pilot episode. Not to mention that, in the pilot episode, Sam was standing on the left and Dean was standing on the right (and Sam was the one who dropped the gun into the trunk and closed it); in the season finale of this season, the brothers were standing on opposite sides and Dean was the one who dropped the gun into the trunk and closed it.

Quote of the day:
Jake: You were dead. I killed you.
Sam: Yeah? Well, next time finish the job

Server: If you want to find him [Andy], try Orchard St. Just look for a van with a barbarian queen painted on the side.
Dean

Next Weeks Episode- Monster at the End of This Book

It is Friday. FRIDAY ONLY and there are still six more full days before the next episode, but I've been ready for it since 9PM yesterday. SO in honor of my impatience here are some promo pics from the upcoming episode.

The Monster at the End of This Book:
Sam and Dean discover a fictional book series entitled Supernatural about two demon hunting brothers named Sam and Dean Winchester while investigating a possible haunting at a comic book shop. The shop clerk thinks the boys are live action role playing when they visit. They track down the writer, Chuck Edlund, who explains he has visions of the brothers that he then turns into comic books. Chuck reveals that Lilith is coming and she has a plan for Sam.

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day!

Episode Trivia:
When Sam is telling Dean that he has to update his cassette-tape collection he shows one clearly labeled "Metallica," Dean takes it and starts listening to it. Rather than Metallica, we hear "Back in Black" by AC/DC.

Quote of the day:
Sam: Hey, Dean. What I said earlier, about Mom and Dad, I'm sorry.
Dean
: No chick flick moments.
Sam
: Alright...jerk.
Dean

MMMMMonster MMMMovie. Was that annoying? Reading all those M's?

Episode Trivia:
When the brothers arrive in town the first night, there's a crescent moon in the sky. However, the second night when the werewolf strikes, the moon is full. The moon doesn't change phases that fast from crescent to full in a single night.

When Dean says this line after taking the ribbon out of his pocket to show Sam in the bar after his fight with Dracula: "This, I uh, pulled it off during the fight" his lips don't move, and the volume is different from the rest of his line, you can clearly tell this line was added in post as a voiceover.

Quote of the Day:
Dean: Room's paid for and it's Oktoberfest. C'mon, brother! Beer and bar wenches.
Sam: Pretty sure women today don't react well to the whole "wench" thing, Dean.
Dean: Hey, bar wench! Where's that beer?
Jamie: Coming up, good sir.
Dean: Dude. Oktoberfest.

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day!

Episode comes from Hollywood Babylon.
My side note...I think I really have a thing for Dean when he's got food stuffed in his mouth. It might be some kind of weird fetish. I'm not ashamed of it though. NOPE! Here's a cookie.
Also...every time I type Hollywood Babylon, my fingers really want to type Hollywood 'Babylong' I'm not sure what that means.

Episode Trivia:
When the trailer for Hell Hazers 2 begins, the movie rating screen says Hell Hazers has been approved by the "American Association for Motion Pictures." In reality it is the "Motion Picture Association of America." Also, it says that the film has not been rated and underneath, in small print, it says "Not Yet Written, Cast, Shot, Edited or Scored."

Quote of the day: (comes from a totally different episode today because I just watched Tall Tales)
SAM: I never said that!
DEAN
: You're always saying pansy stuff like that.

I'm a Survivor, I'm the Eye of the Tiger

Just because this video makes me want to laugh and cry and make out with every one in the near vicinity:

Enjoy. You can also download the video HERE or HERE

Oh! AND here it is in MP4 in case you want to put it on your phone and it won't accept regular AVI.

Some of those aren't working so try one of these.

Eye of the Tiger

And one that will work on Divx

I also have it on my crackberry so I can watch it all the time. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right. Oh goodness...

Sam: Aww.
Bobby: He's adorable.

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day!

Episode Trivia:
Sam: Daggett was the Norman Bates stuff-your-mother kind of lonely.

Referencing Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 movie Psycho starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh. Perkins plays Norman Bates, a hotel owner suffering from a split personality, who pretends to be his dead mother and kills anyone unfortunate enough to cross "her" path.

Quote of the Day:
Dean: Listen, you and Rambo need to get the hell outta here. Ed: Listen here, Chisel Chest, okay, we were here first. We've already set up base camp and we beat you

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day!

Ummm...I'm pretty sure I didn't do this one already :-/ Oh well. It's from Tall Tales. I don't know what my obsession with this episode is right now.

Episode Trivia:
Dean: I don’t know, man. I think they’re called Purple Nurples.

A Purple Nurple is a type of alcoholic cocktail drink that is made by putting coconut rum, triple sec, Blue Curacao, cranberry juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. The ingredients are then shaken up and strained into a glass for serving.

Quote of the Day: [and it's from a totally different episode this time]
Dean: I saw Hellraiser, I get it
Ruby: They got it close, except for all the custom leather

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day

The Guess the Episode is from Bedtime Stories.

Episode Allusions:
Crossroads Demon: Doth protest too much if you ask me.
This is an allusion to Shakespeare's Hamlet, act 3, scene 2. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Commonly misquoted with the methinks at the beginning

Dean
: I'm Detective Plant. This is Detective Page.

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were the guitarist and lead vocalist of Led Zeppelin, respectively.

Dean: You find a way to stop Callie, alright.
Sam: What about you?
Dean: I'm gonna go stop the big bad wolf. Which is the weirdest thing I've ever said.

Dean: Snow White? Ah, I saw that movie. Oh, porn version anyway.

Zazzle Shop!

We have started a Zazzle shop with some Supernaturalesque merchandise. Holy Crap! So this is my plea for ideas. There isn't a whole lot in there right now and while new ideas are coming to mind all the time your ideas are really what's it's all about.

SO, leave a comment here and check back and I will update the shop with those ideas as soon as I can. I'll be posting entries in the blog with your ideas and you of course will be credited for them. You can also e-mail at fan.supernatural at gmail dot com with ideas if you would rather not post them here. Thanks so much. You are my hero already.

*** Did I type the word 'Ideas' enough?***

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day

Guess the Episode comes from 'No Exit'.

Episode Trivia:
In this episode, Jo commented that Moyamensing Prison was built in 1835 and torn down in 1963. In truth, Moyamensing was constructed between 1832-1835, but was actually demolished in 1968.
One of the photographs on the table when Sam, Jo, and Dean are discussing Holmes is actually a photograph of Elizabeth Stride, one of the women generally accepted to have been murdered by Jack the Ripper.
Jo and Ellen's last name is Harvelle and the saloon is called Harvelle's Roadhouse. The word "roadhouse" had been the only part of the sign that was legible in episodes past.

Quote of the day:
Dean: Young girl got kidnapped by an evil cult.
Sam
: Yeah, and does this girl have a name?
Dean
: Katie Holmes.

Episode Trivia:
When telling the legend of the Colt, John says it was made the same night in 1835 when all the men died at the Alamo. The Battle of the Alamo, however, occurred in 1836.

Quote of the day:
Dean: Vampires! Gets funnier every time I hear it.

Link and Scene of the week

Here's a lovely interview with Misha Collins.

And a two for one Scene of the Week!!

If I'm ever abducted by aliens, may it never be like this!

AND....There are two sides to every story. Especially when it features one of Sam's best bitch faces!!

My favorite scene and line!

Guess The Episode & Quote of the Day!

Episode today comes from Croatoan.

Episode Trivia:
In the scene where Dean makes the promise to Sam, as the camera pans alongside the Impala, you can see the dolly track on which the camera runs along.

Quote of the Day:
Sam: Didn't you pay any attention in school?
Dean: Yeah. How bills become laws, the shot heard 'round the world...
Sam: That's not school! That's Schoolhouse Rock!
Dean: ....Whatever.
