In an interview from TV Guide, Eric Kripke, the show creator admitted that he got so many requests from the viewers to see Jensen and Jared with "less on", that he created the episode "Skin" for Jensen to be shirtless, and added a scene in the episode "Hell House" for Jared to be shirtless, to please the fans.
